PlagiarismCheck.io provides a digital utility designed to analyze text and compare it against billions of publicly indexed web pages to highlight potential overlaps. The service is intended as an educational and editorial aid, not a definitive legal or academic arbiter.

2. Accounts

You can use the core checker without an account. Creating a free account unlocks daily free checks and saved check history. You must provide a valid email address, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

By utilizing our infrastructure, you agree to the following code of conduct:

Lawful Use: You will not use the service to violate any local, state, national, or international law.
System Integrity: You will not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass the security mechanisms of our scanning algorithms.
Fair Usage: You will not deploy automated scripts, scrapers, or botnets to abuse our free tier. Volumetric scanning without a commercial agreement is strictly prohibited.

4. Paid Plans, Billing, and Renewals

We offer a Pro subscription (billed monthly or annually) and a one-time 24-hour Day Pass. LinkIntel Inc is the seller, and payments are processed securely by Stripe, which handles checkout, billing, and receipts. Prices are shown in US dollars; applicable local taxes may be calculated at checkout.

Pro Subscriptions: Renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard through the Stripe customer portal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Day Pass: A one-time purchase granting 24 hours of unlimited checks. It never renews and does not create a subscription.
Price Changes: We may change prices for future billing periods. Active subscribers will be notified by email at least 14 days before any price change takes effect.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

We respect your ownership. You retain 100% of the copyright and intellectual property rights to any text you submit to our servers. As outlined in our Privacy Policy, we do not claim ownership of, nor do we persistently store, your submissions.

6. Limitations of Accuracy

While our proprietary algorithms are highly advanced, no algorithmic matching system is infallible. PlagiarismCheck.io may occasionally yield false positives (flagging original text as copied) or false negatives (failing to identify highly obfuscated plagiarism).

You acknowledge that PlagiarismCheck.io shall not be held liable for academic disciplinary actions, lost revenue, SEO penalties, or legal disputes arising from your reliance on our similarity reports.

7. Service Modifications and Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at our sole discretion, without prior notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, particularly for users on the unpaid tier.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LinkIntel Inc (operating as PlagiarismCheck.io), its directors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or legal fees resulting from your misuse of the service or your violation of these Terms.
